About This Video

In this series intro, I’m kicking off something a lot more exciting than the usual “build a Laravel Todo app” tutorial. Yeah, we’re building a Todo app—but before you click away, this is not the basic version that only teaches forms and validation. I’m using this project as a sandbox to explore real-world Laravel concepts you’ll actually use in production, the kind of stuff that makes apps fast, reliable, and maintainable. We’ll make the dashboard blazingly fast with Redis caching so it loads in milliseconds, and we’ll set up scheduled tasks (cron jobs) to automatically notify users about upcoming tasks—even if they forget. On top of that, we’ll use Laravel queues to send emails, process reminders, and handle background work properly, and we’ll monitor everything with Laravel Horizon so we can actually see what’s happening inside the queue system. And we’re not stopping at local development. I’m deploying this app for real using Cloudways, and I’ll also show you how to use a staging environment to test features before they hit production—so you avoid those “oops, I broke it” moments. Whether you’re new to Laravel or you already know the basics, this series is built to level you up with a complete, production-ready Laravel project.
