Day 5 of our Florida vlog is an early one—like 6:08am early—because we’re moving hotels and still want to smash out Early Park Admission at Islands of Adventure. We check in at Loews Sapphire Falls (online check-in makes it so much more seamless), get ourselves registered for self-parking, and then head straight out on the walkway (about 15 minutes with our power-walk pace). We talk through water taxi timings too (starting around 6:00am), and we’re buzzing to meet our friend Karen for a proper ride-heavy morning. We start with Hagrid’s (heads up: we’ve now seen morning delays a few times), then jump on VelociCoaster (Luke and Karen go twice—absolute maniacs—while I tap out to avoid feeling sick). We also do Forbidden Journey (those little air vents above the seats helped a bit), take the Hogwarts Express over to Studios (remember: you need a park-to-park ticket), and then it’s Mummy, Men in Black (pro tip: if your gun is faulty, ask—staff were happy to let us re-ride), and ET (posted 10, but took us about 35). After Panda Express in CityWalk, our room at Sapphire Falls is ready—lagoon view with Hulk/CityWalk peeks—plus a really sweet welcome treat. We finish the day with a chilled evening mooch around Universal, Diagon Alley at night, and honestly just soaking up the vibes.
