In this video I’m showing you a somewhat rare 1/18 scale 2004 Land Rover Discovery from MotorMax that I stumbled across at my local collectors store. The cool part is it was new and never taken out of the original box, and when I opened it up I even found the original receipt—$16 back in 2005. That’s wild when you see what people are asking now, because a lot of eBay listings are sitting in that $150–$200 range, and I still ended up paying “only” $80 for mine. I also dig into the big question: is there a downside to keeping a diecast sealed in the box for 20+ years? I go through what I’m seeing as I unbox it and check it over, because “new in box” doesn’t always mean perfect after decades of storage.
