In this video I’m doing a real “end of season” job in my backyard setup—getting my 1/18 diecast cars out of the outdoor diorama and into the big barn I built a couple weeks back. I used my Bruder tow truck to haul a dozen cars over, and I tried to pack as many as I could inside before the weather turned. This was filmed literally the day before a snow storm, so it was one of those hustle sessions where you’re racing the clock and trying not to leave anything out to get buried. I also had my 10-year-old son helping me film, which made it a fun one—more like a quick family project than a “perfect” build video. The big takeaway here is just how handy a dedicated storage building is for an outdoor diorama, especially when winter is coming. If you’re running a backyard setup like I do, you’ve got to think ahead: move the cars, keep them clean, and protect your work so you’re not starting from scratch in spring.
