In this video I head out to the bi-monthly diecast trade show in Drummondville, Quebec with one main goal: I’ve got to downsize my 1/18 collection because I’m simply out of display space. You know that Marie Kondo line about “does it bring you joy?”—yeah… some of these don’t anymore, and I’d rather move them along than let them sit boxed up. I bring around 20 models to try and sell, mostly Maisto and Bburago, and I’m being honest about what they are and what I expect from them at a show like this. But the big wildcard is the four super rare Exoto models I brought along. I didn’t get those cheap, so I’m testing the waters to see if the right buyer is even there—and if the market is willing to pay what they’re worth. While I’m there, I also walk the show and check out what other sellers have on their tables (because let’s be real, the danger is always coming home with more cars than I left with). If you’re thinking about selling at a diecast show, this is a real look at the mindset, the risk, and the fun of trying to make space without regretting what you let go.
