Hello vinyl community! Today I’m showcasing some of the coolest / prettiest color vinyl records in my collection! Including a couple Record Store Day exclusives like The Rolling Stone, Bob Dylan & the Grateful Dead, and some other cool classic rock and 60s and 70s greats!

About This Video

It’s a beautiful Sunday, so if you hear a little yard-noise in the background, that’s why—but today I’m diving into something I genuinely love: the coolest (and, honestly, prettiest) colored vinyl records in my collection. I know colored vinyl can feel gimmicky to some collectors, but I enjoy it, and I’m also a total sucker for anything with cool packaging. In this video I pull out a handful of pressings that really stand out, including Record Store Day exclusives and some classic rock and 60s/70s favorites. I start with The Zombies’ “Odyssey and Oracle” on a marbled teal Record Store Day Essentials pressing (with that obi strip you don’t see much in the US), and I even talk about why I sold my black repress once I upgraded. Then I show off a shaped, octagon-themed Rolling Stones “Through the Past, Darkly” RSD release—gatefold, octagon sleeve, the whole thing. I also confess my biggest “only Paul McCartney could make me do this” moment: owning three different colored copies of “McCartney III,” including a limited indie splatter. From there I highlight a gorgeous purple Vinyl Me, Please “Paranoid” by Black Sabbath, my absolute prettiest pick—“Dylan in the Dead” on red/blue tie-dye—and I wrap up with two Rhino releases from the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love: a Grateful Dead psychedelic compilation and a Monkees splatter pressing that really pops when it’s spinning.
