In this video I’m taking a proper look at the ASUS ROG Falchion Ace 75 HE, a premium Hall Effect gaming keyboard that lands at about £220 here in the UK. I’ve been testing it for the past few weeks, and the big question for me was simple: can it give me everything I liked about the ROG Falcata, but without the split layout that I never actually use? I go through pricing, first impressions, the design (I do really like the cleaner look of the white model), and the little niggles too—like the “ROG” font on the keycaps, the plastic bottom case at this price, and the fact there’s no wrist rest in the box. Feature-wise it’s basically stacked: 8K polling, adjustable actuation, Rapid Trigger, and SOCD/snappy tappy stuff for fast directional changes. In-game it feels ridiculously fast and fluid with very precise inputs, and it’s kept up with me playing The Finals without missing a beat. I also talk about the reality of these boards: you’ll likely need some time to fine-tune actuation settings, because too low and it becomes overly sensitive. I also cover ASUS’ Gear Link web hub (which, frankly, is worlds better than Armoury Crate), the HFX V2 switches and stabilisers, plus a sound test. Overall, I actually prefer this over the Falcata for my own setup—not because it’s “better”, but because it’s cheaper and the fixed layout makes more sense day-to-day.
