In this video I’m taking a proper look at two of Lamzu’s latest lightweight wireless FPS mice — the Maya X and the Maya Champion Edition — and the big theme is simple: shape is king. On paper they’re incredibly close: both use the PixArt PAW3950 sensor and Omron optical switches, both are clean and minimal with a heavily skeletonised underside, and both ship with a genuinely generous accessory bundle (including spare skates, grip tape, a pouch and the 8K dongle). I also go through pricing ($119.99), what’s actually different between them, and how those small changes show up in real use. After a few weeks of testing (mostly in The Finals), the real separator is dimensions and weight. The Champion Edition is 119×59×38mm at 45g, while the Maya X is 124×62×40mm at 47g — and yes, you do feel that difference over longer sessions. Clicks are crisp and consistent, wireless has been rock solid, and tracking/liftoff were excellent with no weird behaviour. My biggest gripe is the stock coating being a bit slippery at first (especially in colder months), though the included grip tape helps a lot. Software-wise, Lamzu’s Aurora (app or web) is straightforward, but I’m not convinced most “performance” toggles matter in real gameplay. Motion Sync is the most noticeable but can feel a bit floaty, and 8K polling is, honestly, a gimmick — I settled on 2K. In the end I actually preferred the Champion Edition for its more agile, precise feel, while the Maya X makes sense if you want more palm support or have larger hands.
