In this video I was meant to be reviewing the PCSpecialist Element Elite R prebuilt, but I simply couldn’t do a proper review because the system arrived with a basic, fundamental build error. It’s built in the Thermaltake TR100 ITX chassis with a split-chamber layout and a GPU riser cable, and the riser cable was literally jammed into one of the AIO exhaust fans, completely stopping it from spinning. The worst part? It took me about two seconds to spot it once the side panel was off, yet it somehow made it through PCSpecialist’s build process, their supposed testing, and out the door. I showed what the issue did to thermals and noise, then fixed it myself in about five minutes by re-routing and clamping the riser properly using the bracket that should have been doing that job from the start. After the fix, CPU temps dropped notably in Cinebench (steady-state down to ~58°C, peak ~61.9°C), and gaming temps in Cyberpunk also improved. For me, this raises two big questions: staff training and quality control. If this can happen on a review unit, I genuinely worry how many paying customers might have received the same problem—especially if they spec the system with a much higher-power CPU than the Ryzen 7 9700X.
