Hey guys, it’s Kiko. I just came back from LA, and my 29-inch suitcase literally got filled up with all the clothes I thrifted—so in this video I’m doing a huge LA thrift try-on haul. I’m showing you the pieces that totally refreshed my closet, from a Brandy Melville white puff-sleeve top I couldn’t say no to, to my denim jacket obsession (yes… I thrifted three). I talk about why the dark blue vintage fit suits my skin tone the best, and how the lighter wash is my “first try” because I usually don’t go for it. One of my biggest takeaways: denim in LA/America feels way softer than the denim I try in Japan. I know hard and heavy denim can be “better quality,” but softer denim just works better on me—I can move around, it’s comfy, and it fits my body shape. I also share my Brandy Melville white sweatpants (100% cotton and so comfy), a super cute “K” necklace from Marshall, and a Los Angeles coin purse. And yes, I went crazy with caps—six thrifted hats—because caps in Japan don’t fit me well and are way more expensive. To finish, I try on a black sheer long sleeve (perfect for summer UV vibes), some simple light tops, and my favorite baby blue suede zip-up with a pretty zipper that gives me that soft Y2K mood.
