I used to think being pretty was a privilege—until I became a model, and that’s when it kind of disappeared. In this video, I talk about how I went from feeling confident (because I worked hard on my glow-up, skincare, and learning how to dress) to suddenly questioning everything the moment I stepped into the fashion world. My first casting still sticks with me: 20–30 models in a tiny room, everyone tall, skinny, and beautiful. I was the shortest, I didn’t know how to pose, and my confidence dropped so fast that I started wondering, “Why am I here?” I share the part people don’t really talk about—the anxiety, comparing yourself at castings every day, barely getting booked, and even losing sleep over your appearance. And then I explain what I learned after years of modeling: in fashion, “pretty” is basically the entry ticket. Everyone is pretty. What actually matters is being special—unique features, a different perspective, and whether your look fits the brand’s mood, season, and image. My biggest takeaway is this: you don’t need to fit society’s beauty standards to be memorable. Pretty is normal in fashion, but it won’t make you unforgettable—being yourself and staying confident will.
