Hiiii, welcome to my Berlin thrift day as a Tokyo fashion girlie. In this video I went to around 7 thrift/vintage spots in Berlin and tried to be “responsible” even though everything just suits me so much here. I started with more classic vintage (so many leather jackets… and yes, I was obsessed because Berlin winter is freezing and I only packed Heattech from Uniqlo). Then I hit places like Joel Vintage and Sander 22 where I saw more designer vibes, cute bags, leopard patterns (my favorite), and pieces that made me feel like “wow, this is so Berlin.” At the end, it turns into a full try-on haul of what I actually brought home as a tourist with only one suitcase. I show you my handmade tops (you can literally see people making clothes in the back room), purplish wash jeans that I’ve never seen before, a short leather jacket with fluffy faux fur that cinches my waist, and a super long warm coat that I honestly can’t find in Japan in my exact size. I also tried a black jacket with shorter sleeves that makes me feel very techno. If you’re thrifting in Berlin, my biggest takeaway is: go in with a plan (and luggage space), because the fit + quality here is dangerously good.
