I’m sharing the real-life stuff I reach for in summer: cooling body sheets from the drugstore (I swear by them—just not on my face because mint burns me), a tiny men’s-style wallet that holds a lot, and my biggest Japan travel tip: bring cash, because so many local places still don’t take credit cards. I also go deep into my sun protection routine because Tokyo summer is no joke. I keep a strong SPF 50+ sunscreen stick (so I don’t have to get my hands greasy), plus a genius sunscreen powder for reapplying over makeup. Then there are the “Japanese life” items that feel a little quirky but are so practical—like a foot deodorant for those shoe-off restaurants, my Suica card + key, oil-control blotting paper, and even probiotics for when I eat too much.
