Good morning guys—this was (and I promise, last time) wedding dress shopping before I made my final decision. I originally thought about going by myself because this bridal shop carries the two designers I’ve been gravitating toward, and I really wanted to compare my top contenders side-by-side. But I ended up bringing Sophia with me, did a quick speedy get-ready (makeup + my Dyson-dupe blowout/curls), threw on jeans and sneakers, and headed to Genevieve’s Bridal to see if they had the same vibe as the other stores. Once we started pulling dresses, it got real fast. We talked through little details like ivory vs. a brighter white (because you can actually see the texture and details better), how the skirt flows on video, pleating, and different strap/tank-top looks—plus things like a slit and how it changes the silhouette. And then… I put on the one. I’m not showing it all here (veil moment included), but I started crying, Sophia started crying, and I truly felt like a bride. I said YES to the dress, popped champagne, and then we went to dinner to celebrate—because after trying on 27 dresses, the deal is officially done.
