For my birthday this year, my fiancé Zach took me to Lake Geneva for the drive-thru safari + kebab experience, and it was honestly the most incredible birthday present. I’ve been wanting to come here for the past couple summers, so finally doing it felt so special. We started out petting some deer in the fenced yard area, which was cute… but also they were VERY bold (like, in-your-personal-space bold). Then we did the capybara experience and I was obsessed. I genuinely could not believe they were bigger than my own dog—and my dog is not small. It was basically 30 minutes of petting them and feeding them lettuce, and I was in heaven the entire time. After that we ate lunch in the car and headed into the drive-thru portion with the feed, which was equal parts “this is fantastic” and “I’m kind of scared.” The deer were SO close to the car, the llama was way gentler than the deer, and at one point I was literally like “not your antlers” because they were getting a little too comfy near my car. Overall: 10/10 chaotic, wholesome birthday vlog.
