Good morning and welcome to the start of my 2025 bride DIY prep era. In this vlog I’m basically in full wedding mode: I get ready (the brows are definitely browing) and I’m testing wedding makeup products without a lash, then I head to a decor rental warehouse to play with a full tablescape. We mess around with different linens, textures, napkin colors (terracotta vs olive, and even mixing), and plates—like yes, I still love the scallop plate, but it might not be the vibe for our rustic barn venue. And don’t even get me started on the goblets… I want the goblets so bad, but I’m still trying to justify the price per piece. After that, I give a big update on where I’m at with my DIY florals, including the wicker basket aisle arrangements (there will be eight), my bouquet that popped off on TikTok, and a mix of bud vases and taller amber-votive-style pieces for tables. I also show my bridesmaid bouquet progress—adding more flowy flowers made it feel way more like mine, just smaller. Then I jump into day-of decor DIYs: finishing my linen bar sign with fabric glue (goodbye bobby pins) and starting my reserved seat ribbons using a long silky fabric that I’m turning into four strips to flow in the wind.
