Heyy Everyone, watch me attempt to do blonde box braids for the first time. Parting and sectioning were the most tedious and time consuming part of the process. This entire process took me about 2 days filled with endless amount of breaks lol. Hope you enjoy! About This Video

In this video, I’m attempting blonde box braids for the first time, and yes… it was a whole journey. I started on freshly washed, detangled hair with only leave-in conditioner, then I used braiding hair in shades 613 and 27. Before I even got to braiding, I stretched the hair to get rid of those blunt ends by pulling random strands to create that tapered look, and then I mixed both shades together for the color blend. The most tedious, time-consuming part for me was parting and sectioning—especially because I had no help and my parts were definitely crooked, so don’t judge me. I prepped my hair with Jamaican Black Castor Oil + Coconut Oil, then went in with Let’s Jam Extra Hold to keep everything smooth. For the braid start, I did what worked best for my scalp: no rubber bands, because that tightness would have me with a migraine. I started with two strands of braiding hair and one strand of my natural hair, then added hair as I went to keep the strands even. This whole process took me almost two days (with endless breaks, I’m not even gonna lie). My biggest tip: part and section the night before, twist each section, and then the next day you can just focus on braiding. The final look came out so cute, I added gold accessories, and my arms were sore enough to count it as my workout for the month.
