About This Video

In this video I’m breaking down the 6 Month Envelope Challenge I did from August 2021 through the end of December 2021. I started it because I wanted to challenge myself and see how much extra money I could save on top of what I normally save—because honestly, I’m always shopping and buying unnecessary stuff. I explain what the 52 Week Envelope Challenge is, how it works (pulling two envelopes each week), and the basic supplies you need like envelopes, a pen/markers, and a shoebox to store everything. I also keep it real about the pros and cons. A big con for me was that I barely ever carry cash, so I had to keep going to the bank, withdrawing money, and making change—singles, fives, tens, and twenties—which can get tedious. If you get paid bi-weekly, it can be tricky too, so I share how I used extra money from content creating/trading so I didn’t feel overwhelmed. Then we do the fun part: count with me. By the end, I saved $1,376, and I’m using it to pay down my credit card debt. If I can do it as a shopaholic (Amazon takes all my money), you can do it too.
