About This Video

Guys, it has been a minute since I shared a washer/dryer video, but I kept seeing the same question: how do you turn off that insane beeping noise on a Whirlpool dryer? In this video I walk you through exactly where to look on the control panel and what to change so your dryer stops yelling at you when the cycle ends. I show the spot where I normally set my drying options (like Energy Preferred and temperature low/medium/high), and then I point out the one setting that’s responsible for the beeping. The key is the Cycle Signal. If it’s set to “on” (like on 1), your dryer will beep when it hits the end of the cycle—and if you’re also using Wrinkle Shield, it can keep beeping during those periodic tumbles too. I personally don’t like that noise, so I keep my Cycle Signal turned off so it just stops without the constant reminders. I also explain how Wrinkle Shield works (it tumbles every few minutes), and that if you don’t want that at all, you’ll need to use Timed Dry—because there’s no separate way to fully turn off Wrinkle Shield on this setup.
