In this video, I’m unboxing and walking you through the brand new OMIEBOX UP (it literally just released). We’ve been using the original OmieBox for almost a whole year, and we’ve really been enjoying it, so I was genuinely excited to see what’s different with this updated version. Right away, I noticed the overall shape is more rectangular (the original feels more square), and the thermos on this one looks much bigger. I also love the rubber grip around the thermos because it feels like it’ll be easier to open. I show you what comes in the box, including the little rubber name tag, the divider for the side compartment, and the seal that makes it leak-proof (and yes—don’t forget to remove it when you clean, because it can get gross underneath). I also demonstrate how the seal presses into the grooves and how the insert tray comes out. One of the coolest features is the removable ice pack you can freeze and place in the bottom to help keep fruit and veggies cold while the thermos keeps hot food warm. I also go over key care notes from the manual—what’s dishwasher safe, what’s not, and how to preheat the thermos safely—then I’ll be back with a full review once we’ve used it for real lunches.
