Hey ya’ll! In this video I’m walking you through my very first wash in my brand new Whirlpool washer (model WTW4816FW3) after not buying a new washer and dryer for 13 years. I start by showing you the control panel and what each setting means—soil level (heavy to extra light), wash temp (hot to tap cold), the wash cycle knob options (like soak, quick wash, bulky items, and even clean washer), plus rinse options and the auto-sensing vs deep water wash setting. If you’re coming from an older machine like I was, this is a totally different setup than just “small/medium/large” loads. Then I take you through a real load: towels. I add my HE detergent pod (thank goodness my Costco Kirkland detergent is HE safe), load everything evenly, and choose Quick Wash with light soil, cool temp, and one rinse—no fabric softener this time. I also show you what happens when you open the lid mid-cycle (it pauses/locks), and I time the cycle so you know what to expect. My takeaway: Quick Wash on cool with one rinse and auto-sensing took 30 minutes, and I’m excited to test more settings and features in upcoming videos.
