The goal isn’t just “make it smart,” it’s making the space more beautiful from a design standpoint too. I’m always hyperfixating on optimizing systems around the house—entertainment, safety, convenience—and I’m showing the exact products I’m using to tie everything together. I start with the Vestaboard, because it’s one of those pieces that actually becomes worth it when you use the live integrations. Mine rotates through things like a 10 a.m. stock update, Formula 1 standings, hockey scores, and even what’s playing on Spotify—so it’s not just a static art piece. From there, I get into the stuff I’m genuinely paranoid about, like flooding, and why the Moen Flo is one of the first installs I did (plus it can even save you money on insurance).
