In this video I tested every single popular tactile switch I could get my hands on to figure out what’s actually best for gaming, productivity, and just overall value. I spent about $200 on switches and put real time into each one, focusing on two things that matter most: how they feel (tactile bump, weight, pre-travel) and how they sound (with a quick sound test for each). I also scored them for gaming, typing, feel, and sound so you can pick based on what you actually do on your keyboard. I started with the most common “prebuilt” tactile—Gateron Browns—then moved into heavier, more premium options like Boba U4T and Zealios V2. Zealios V2 ended up being my overall favorite because they’re insanely smooth and just feel high-end, but they’re expensive and not really the best if your main focus is competitive gaming. If you mostly game, I’d go Kailh Speed Coppers or Akko V3 Creamy Blue Pros, and if you want one switch that’s good at everything, the Tecsee Neapolitan Ice Cream switches are the easy pick.
