About This Video

Hey guys, it’s Jess from Marks of Motherhood, and in this video I’m showing you how I actually pack the Maedn Drawstring Bag day to day. I’m not rehashing all the features or my first impressions here (I covered that in a previous video and linked it), but I am walking you through what fits and where I keep everything as a mom of four (8, 5, 3, and 1). I’m finally out of the newborn phase, so I don’t carry a ton anymore—and honestly, water bottles are what really weigh a bag down. The bag stays pretty lightweight for me, and the padded backpack straps make it comfortable even when it’s packed full. I go pocket by pocket: outside I’ll sometimes use the bottle pocket for my Hydro Flask, keep hand sanitizer handy, and I use a JuJuBe Paci Pod converted into a little trash holder (so helpful for dirty diapers and random trash). Inside, the drawstring opening is nice and wide, and I keep activities for all four kids—little Amazon “catch-all” toys, puppet toys for my younger two, books (including a travel Where’s Waldo for my older kids), and a couple drawing tablets so at least two kids can do something together. I also show where I stash diapers, a disposable change pad, wipes, a toilet liner, and a hidden zip pocket of non-perishable snacks. I’ve really been loving this bag, especially in Maedn’s saddle color—it’s an easy, all-season deep brown that I knew would become my everyday go-to.
