Hey everyone, These aren't perfect or wildly creative storytimes but my kids love these books. I'm recording them for their ipads and thought I'd share them here with you as well. When dealing with depression and other "big feelings" I really appreciated these easy read books for kids. They also have tons of free printable resources. If you haven't come across them already Slumberkins is an amazing and comforting brand! Some of these will be originals and some are newer. I'll span them out M/W/F for a few weeks. Enjoy! About This Video

In this Mommy & Me storytime, I’m reading “Sloth Starts to Slumber” from Slumberkins—one of those simple, comforting bedtime books my kids genuinely love. These storytimes aren’t meant to be perfect or wildly creative; I originally started recording them for my kids’ iPads, and I figured I’d share them here too in case your little one would enjoy the same calm-down routine before bed. This particular book walks kids through an easy, step-by-step wind-down: calming your mind with slow counting and breathing (one, two, three), then calming your body from your feet all the way up to your head. I love how it has them squeeze and release different body parts—feet, legs, shoulders, arms, hands—so they can actually feel their body relax. It finishes with a sweet little bedtime rhyme (“I go to sleep, I snooze and slumber…”) that’s perfect to repeat nightly. When I’ve been dealing with depression or other big feelings, I really appreciated having easy reads like this for my kids—and Slumberkins also offers tons of free printable resources that go along with their books.
