In this video I’m comparing two My Elkie & Co diaper bags I’ve been using and loving: the tote (Capri) and the backpack style (Aberdeen 2.0). Honestly, you really can’t go wrong with either one—both are made from that really great microfiber vegan leather, both have a ton of internal organization, and both give you multiple carry options depending on what kind of day you’re having (tote, backpack, or messenger). I walk you through the outside features and the inside layout of each bag, and then I show you how I have them packed with my real mom essentials. The tote has those two magnetic front pockets, side bottle pockets, and a removable liner you can zip off and throw in the wash (which is such a big deal for easy cleaning). It also has a detachable “mom bag” that clips in, and I use that all the time. The backpack has a magnetic front pocket, extra zipper storage, bottle pockets, removable straps that tuck away, and pockets galore inside with an easy-to-wipe liner. My main takeaway: the tote holds a little more, but the backpack is super functional and organized—so it really comes down to your preferred style and how much you carry.
