About This Video

Provided I’ve had enough caffeine, occasionally I have a good idea—and this one actually stuck: bring Man Sh*t Monday back, but in a way that doesn’t turn into a pain in the ass. This isn’t the old “upload every Monday no matter what” thing. This is the real behind-the-scenes stuff me and my buddy Jason are already doing on Sundays and Mondays when his gun shop’s closed—testing gear, doing dry runs on bags, messing with knives, and just general dude stuff out on his property. In this first episode, I’m building out a bag for an upcoming video, so I needed to get hands-on with a hammock setup and show how fast it can be when you’ve got your system dialed. I also walk through what to look for when you’re hunting fatwood (fat lighter) and how we process it—when you find the good resin-heavy stuff, it’s basically pure gold for fire kits. Then we cook wild hog over the fire—bush pot, hot coals, no fancy propane—and talk about the whole “male hog can get musky” thing and how soaking it can help. We wrap the day up taking care of our tools, trying (and failing) to sneak in another hog kill, and calling it what it is: lower production, more real, and exactly what goes into the gear and videos on this channel.
