About This Video

It’s been a hot minute since I actually dumped my X100V photos and sat down to edit, so I turned that whole process into a full start-to-finish workflow video. I’m shooting my Fujifilm X100V on and off since early January, and I hadn’t offloaded a single thing—so I genuinely didn’t know what I was about to find. I show the exact gear I’m using (a basic UGREEN card reader and a 2TB SSD), plus why my two-monitor setup makes editing way easier—especially having a color accurate monitor just for viewing the image full screen. From there, I keep my file organization super simple: one folder per month (like “01 Jan”) and that’s it. On Windows, Fuji RAF files are annoying to preview, so I sort and group by file type, review the JPEGs first, and only drag the matching RAF files over to the SSD when I know I like the shot. Then I import just those selects into Capture One, pop a Viewer on my second monitor, and edit fast in real time. You’ll see my typical adjustments—exposure, highlights, shadows, crushed blacks (personal preference), quick crops, and when I switch between black and white vs color. I also show how I manually apply my 28mm distortion correction preset and use Keystone to straighten perspective when needed.
