Is the new Fujifilm X-T30 III the most well-rounded camera of 2025? After a month of testing it in all kinds of real-world situations, I think it just might be. In this deep-dive review, I take the Fujifilm X-T30 III from the bright, sunny Auburn Botanical Gardens to the challenging low-light of the Sydney Aquarium to see if it truly is the perfect "jack of all trades" camera. We'll test everything from its 6.2K video capabilities and autofocus performance to how it handles a casual dinner with friends using just the auto mode and those iconic Fujifilm Film Simulations. This video is for anyone looking to upgrade from their phone or find a stylish, powerful, and easy-to-use everyday camera that has the potential to grow with you. About This Video

I’ve had the Fujifilm X-T30 III on loan for a few weeks, and after putting it through a bunch of real-world shoots, I genuinely think it might be the most well-rounded camera on the market (as of October 2025). In this video I break down what’s new—like the film simulation dial replacing the old drive mode dial—plus how the body feels in hand (compact, lightweight, solid, great tactile dials, hilariously aggressive SD card eject). Under the hood it’s running the 26.1MP X-Trans 4 sensor with the newer X-Processor 5, which brings smarter AF, better performance, and surprisingly serious video options like 10-bit 4:2:2 internal recording up to 6.2K. To test it properly, I took it from the bright Auburn Botanical Gardens to the low-light chaos of the Sydney Aquarium, then into a casual dinner setting to see how “effortless” it really is. I shot with the XF 16-80mm f/4 for versatility and OIS, and swapped to the XF 23mm f/2.8 for a tiny street-friendly setup. The autofocus nailed it about 90% of the time, even with reflections and fast-moving subjects, though it can drift a bit in busy scenes when you’re in wide tracking. My takeaway: it’s a stylish, no-frills everyday camera that’s easy for beginners (auto mode is legit) but still has the headroom to grow with you—especially if you love Fujifilm film sims straight out of camera.
