Can't get enough of Fujifilm's Film Simulations? Today we go over all the film simulations fuji has to offer, and I show you how to get these new film simulations to work for your previous gen fujifilm cameras on Capture One. About This Video

In this Part 4 film simulation video, I go back outside with the X100VI and do a clean, straight-out-of-camera comparison of Fujifilm’s current color film sims. I shoot one consistent alleyway scene with strong blues, reds, and yellows, and I keep everything standardized (lowest ISO, f/16, 2-second timer, then I only ride shutter speed for exposure). From Provia and Velvia through Classic Chrome, Pro Neg, Classic Neg, and Eterna, you’ll see how each profile shifts saturation, contrast, and overall tone. The main focus though is the “newer” sims that came after my last film sim breakdown: Eterna Bleach Bypass, Nostalgic Negative, and Reala Ace. I explain what I’m seeing in plain terms—Bleach Bypass is super desaturated and gritty, Nostalgic Negative leans warmer with a really nice pop in the oranges, and Reala Ace lands closer to Pro Neg High with slightly more pronounced blues and a touch of warmth. Then I get into the practical part: how to use these newer film simulations on older Fujifilm cameras inside Capture One (X-Trans III and up). I walk you through updating C1, duplicating and renaming the right Film Curves files (FCV and P1X), and mapping them to the correct sensor so Capture One will recognize and apply the sims to your older RAW files.
