Long time no see guys! I hope you all enjoyed watching this relaxing flat ride on Six! I didn't want to ask too much of him because his muscle tone is just not there, so it's a rather simple ride. But wow! It's been a minute since we had a chestnut in the vlogs haha he could not be a sweeter boy! He's such a pleasure to work with and I'm hopeful that his condition will improve quickly. He's already put on a ton of weight since we got him. We dewormed him, had his teeth done, got him all up to date, are working to get his hooves in order & hopefully all of that will be rewarded with a happy, healthy horse! About This Video

Long time no see, guys! In this barn vlog I’m hopping on my boss’s new OTTB, Six, for a super relaxed flat ride. I keep it simple on purpose—his muscle tone just isn’t there yet, so I’m not trying to “drill” anything or ask big questions. This is more about getting a feel for him, letting him move, and keeping the ride low-pressure while he figures out his new job off the track. Six is also just genuinely such a sweet chestnut (and yes, it’s been a minute since we’ve had a chestnut in the vlogs). I talk through where he’s at physically and what we’re doing to set him up to thrive: he’s already put on a lot of weight since we got him, we dewormed him, had his teeth done, got him up to date, and we’re working on getting his hooves in order. The big takeaway is that early OTTB rides don’t need to be flashy—start with basics, be fair about what their body can handle, and let good care and consistency do the heavy lifting so you end up with a happy, healthy horse.
