About This Video

In this EquiTheory episode, I’m talking about what it’s actually like being an equestrian on social media—especially if you’re also trying to build something as an entrepreneur, creator, or “internet hashtag girl boss.” I share what it felt like when I first came up online in the horse world, and how the landscape has shifted since then: the expectations, the pace, and the weird pressure to be everything at once (trainer, educator, entertainer, brand). I also get into the reality of being labeled an “influencer” in a niche where people have a lot of opinions and not a lot of patience. I walk through what I’ve learned about being successful today—what actually moves the needle, what drains you, and where I think creators get stuck. And yes, I fully admit I’m not always great at implementing my own advice, but I’m honest about what I see working and what I wish I’d done sooner. I also bring in thoughts you guys sent me on Instagram, because the best part of these conversations is realizing we’re all navigating the same messy mix of ambition, insecurity, and barn-life reality. If you listen to the podcast at all, please take my listener survey—it genuinely helps me steer EquiTheory in the right direction.
