I break down how the internet takes something that can be totally valid for some families—staying home, raising kids, running the house—and then over-glorifies it into a one-size-fits-all “this is what women should do” pipeline. I also get into the difference between real trad-wife lifestyles and the fake influencer version, including how a lot of the loudest trad creators are lowkey hypocrites: they’re earning income online and building a platform (aka a safety net) while telling other women not to have one. I also get personal about my background growing up in a traditional household and why finances are the part I take the most seriously. If you don’t know what’s going on with your money—no accounts, no cards, nothing in your name—you can end up trapped fast. I react to a viral clip of a stay-at-home mom getting hit with divorce and suddenly having no access to funds, and I explain why “it’ll never happen to me” is not a plan. My takeaway is simple: you can choose this lifestyle if you want, but you need real protections in place, because if someone can feed you, they can also starve you.
