So, #Google is launching a professional certification program that allows people to earn the equivalent of a four-year degree in six months. This brings me to my question I had for Ken Crowell -- do we even need to go to college anymore? I was told from a young age: YOU WILL GO TO COLLEGE! So, I went. I believed it was the ONLY way to be successful. But I recently started questioning that belief. And I get it... there are fields that require significant training. I wouldn't want to get operated on by a surgeon that earned a degree on-the-fly in 6 months, but still, I think there are a lot of opportunities for us to question whether or not a formal higher education degree is necessary. Thoughts?
