In this video I tested Pipio AI (pipio.ai), which is an AI avatar generator that lets you create a “human” presenter video in just a few clicks. I walk you through the dashboard from scratch: creating a project, picking an actor (I used Avery), choosing a background (they’ve got photo and video options), and then dropping in a script. The big thing I focused on was realism—how natural the animation looks and how believable the voices sound—because a lot of these tools have been pretty rough in the past. I also show how I preview different voice styles and filters (language, gender, and styles like promotional vs conversational). Some voices sounded a bit unnatural, but there were enough good ones that I was actually fairly satisfied with the result, and I liked matching a voice to the actor so it “fits”. Then I demonstrate the preview render (low-res with an overlay) versus exporting the full-quality version. Finally, I show a feature I really like: uploading your own WAV audio so the avatar uses a real voice recording (like I did). It’s a bit weird seeing your voice on a different face, but it opens up a lot of options—especially if you need an actor, or you want to present in a language that’s not your native language. Plus, I mention the lifetime deal and free trial, which is a nice change from the usual subscription-only pricing.
