About This Video

In this video I walk through exactly how I sped up a WooCommerce eCommerce site and fixed its Core Web Vitals, step by step. The site started off with pretty mediocre GTmetrix results (around 63% performance) and a Largest Contentful Paint of about 3.5 seconds, which is just too slow for an online store. By the end, I got the performance score up to 100 and pushed LCP all the way down to about 0.4 seconds (401ms), and I’ll show you the exact process I used. My approach is basically three parts: first, a hosting upgrade (because if your server response time is bad, you’re wasting effort trying to “plugin your way out of it”). I migrate the site to Cloudways, then enable the right server-side settings like Varnish. Second, I do WordPress-side optimizations using Breeze (minify HTML/CSS/JS, inline where it makes sense, and delay JavaScript—testing is important here). Third, I add a CDN using Cloudflare Enterprise via Cloudways, which can make an even bigger difference when your visitors are far from your server. The big takeaway: hosting fixes TTFB, WordPress optimization cleans up the front end, and CDN/edge caching helps you stay fast globally.
