About This Video

In this video I do a full setup tutorial and review of the Hostinger Website Builder. I build the same “local gardening business” style site two ways—first with the AI builder (prompt + palette), then again using a pre-made template—so you can see what you actually get in real-world use. I walk through the editor features as I go: swapping images (uploads + free libraries), editing headings and paragraphs, using the built-in AI Writer, updating social icons, checking mobile layout (including the auto-fix option), and adjusting the header, menu navigation, favicon, and link preview image. My big takeaway is that the template route gives you more “designer touch” and better design variety than the AI build, which tends to keep a similar layout and mainly changes the text/images. I also talk performance, because it’s something people ignore with builders: I was genuinely surprised by how fast Hostinger serves static assets via its built-in CDN (I saw ~1 Gbit/s in testing). On the flip side, compared to WordPress, this builder is proprietary/closed-source, and while you can export content to WordPress, it’s basically text/images—you’ll still redo the formatting. I finish with who it’s for: great value for beginners and for people coming from Shopify/Wix/Squarespace who want a simpler, cost-effective setup.
