About This Video

This is Part 1 of my 2026 Valentines boudoir photoshoot behind the scenes on the Canon R6, and I’m walking you through how I’m thinking on set while we build the vibe with our muse, Georgia. She’s not a YouTuber, so I’m basically coaching the whole flow in real time—outfits, comfort, and how I ease a model into the shoot so the images actually hit. I always start with a “warm up” look first (something I’m not the most pressed about posting), then I move into the outfit I really want once we’ve got rhythm and confidence. Gear-wise, I’m using my unconventional “holy trinity” for this shoot: 100mm, 135mm, and 24mm. I start on the 100mm f/2 EF when space is tight because I don’t want to be too punched in, then once I’ve got room I switch to the 135mm—my preferred lens because the quality is second to none, ridiculously sharp, and it renders skin beautifully. I also explain why I mix focal lengths for carousel posts: different focal lengths keep people scrolling, boost engagement, and that turns into more eyes… and more clients. Free advice, but it works.
