From rare antelope roaming free to lakes full of birdlife and the unforgettable sight of water buffalo cooling in the water, Watatunga is unlike anywhere else in Britain. At the end of the tour, I took some of the meat from animals farmed on-site, ethically raised, high-welfare, and part of Watatunga’s conservation-led management and cooked it over open fire on the BBQ. Expect proper field-to-fork flavour, simple ingredients, and slow fire cooking that lets the meat speak for itself.
