In this video, I walk you through creating a Shopify website from scratch in 2026, step by step, even if you’ve never built an online store before. I start at Shopify.com, show you how to create your account (email or Google), pick a plan, and get through the initial business setup questions so you land on the Shopify dashboard ready to build. From there, I show you how I choose a theme (I recommend sticking with a free theme early on), then jump into the theme editor so you can customize your header, homepage sections, images, text, and links. After that, we add your first product the right way—title, description (including the built-in AI generator if you want a quick starting point), media, pricing, inventory tracking, shipping weight, and product details—then I explain how collections work so you can organize things like shirts, hats, or anything else you sell. Finally, I set up the important backend stuff: Shopify Payments (so you can actually get paid), shipping and delivery (carriers, delivery settings, and options like local pickup), taxes and duties (keeping it simple and compliant), and then connecting or buying a custom domain so people can find your store easily. By the end, you’ve got a working Shopify store with products, payments, shipping, taxes, and a domain ready to go.
