In this video, I show you a super fast and super free way to transfer files between basically any two devices using an app called LocalSend. I’m doing the demo from my iPhone to my Windows PC, but the same idea applies no matter what devices you’re using. The key is simple: install LocalSend on both devices, and make sure they’re on the same Wi‑Fi network. I walk through going to localsend.org, downloading the Windows app (or using the web version if you prefer), and grabbing the iOS version from the App Store. On iPhone, you’ll see a prompt to allow LocalSend to use your local network—this matters, because LocalSend only works when both devices are on the same network. After that, I show the exact send/receive flow: tap Send on your phone, pick the device it detects, choose your file (like a photo or video), and then accept the transfer on your computer. Within a few seconds, the file lands right in your Downloads folder—no cables, no paid apps, just quick local file sharing.
