If you haven’t heard of CapCut yet, it’s time you learn. In this video I walk you through exactly how I edit a video in CapCut on my iPhone—step by step, no fluff. I start from the very beginning: downloading CapCut from the App Store, going through the setup prompts, and creating a New Project so you can pull a clip straight from your Photos into the timeline. From there, I show you the core edits that make your video feel clean and intentional. I scrub through the timeline, trim the start, use Split + Delete to cut out mistakes, and press-and-hold to reorder clips. Then I add an overlay (like a logo image), resize and position it, and drop in a simple animation like a zoom so it pops. I also add text with a style that fits, apply a filter (I use “September sun”) and adjust intensity, then add music from the Sounds tab, trim it to match the video length, and lower the volume so it doesn’t overpower your voice. Finally, I preview everything and export—plus I show what happens if you used premium-only effects and how to handle that on the free version.
