Tool Cabinet Build for Tool Storage and Efficient Woodworking - Part 1 Cabinetmaking

I design and build this woodworking tool cabinet so I can work efficiently in my workshop. It will hold my hand tools so they're within reach at my workbench. This is also designed to be adaptable when acquiring new tools so it will be used for decades to come! I've been working from a 15 year old prototype wall hung tool cabinet so it's time to build the real one! In this first video, I design and fit the parts of the main tool cabinet, including curved parts for the shelf, drawer dividers, and light valance. I chose a combination of Cherry and Maple for some contrast in the woods. I was also inspired by James Krenov's book "A Cabinetmakers' Notebook" to allow the uniqueness of the wood help shape the design of the cabinet. The light valance for example follows the gentle curve of the grain in the wood.
