This is table was made in response to a design challenge to make anything using one sheet of plywood. Did you know that plywood can bend? This modern looking table was designed two cones with opposing grain patterns. The effect shows a subtle contract between the top and bottom cone. The material for this piece is 3/4 inch birch plywood. The base is made of two bent plywood cones, each bent into shape using angled kerf cuts on the back and a specific radius used to cut out the shapes. All the parts for this table were cut out with common power tools (no CNC) and shop-made woodworking jigs.
