CBN Grinding Wheel to Sharpen High Speed Steel Turning Tools | Woodworking

A Cubic Boron Nitride (CBN) grinding wheel is a premium sharpening tool for high speed steel (HSS). It’s made of a material that is almost as hard as diamonds. I talk about the benefits of a CBN grinding wheel as I unpackage and install this on my bench top grinder. Beware of bargain CBN grinding wheels as they can be frustrating to try and properly balance. A CBN grinding wheel doesn’t wear down like a bonded grinding wheel so it retains its shape. In my opinion, it’s worth the investment if you buy a quality product.
