The day has finally come — I ran all the way home (yes, actually out of breath) to unbox the Nintendo Switch 2 and see if it’s genuinely a big jump from the original Switch. In this video I crack the box open, go through what’s included, and give you my first impressions on the build quality. Straight off the bat: the whole thing feels noticeably heavier and way more “premium” than I expected from Nintendo. The new Joy-Cons feel better in the hands, the sticks feel improved, and the magnet attachment is way more solid than people are probably worried about. After setup (and me forgetting my Wi‑Fi password like a professional), I do size comparisons against the original Switch and the Switch Lite so you can see the screen real estate difference properly. I also talk about a couple of weird choices — like getting Mario Kart World as a download code instead of a cartridge/case (I miss the old days, man). Then we jump into Mario Kart World gameplay captured through the Elgato Capture Neo, where the big takeaway is how smooth it feels, how much better handheld immersion is with the bigger screen, and how surprisingly loud/good the speakers are compared to the original Switch.
