The 2024 Dr. Dennis Lemanski Award for Exceptional Commitment to Outstanding Service and Innovation

This award was started as a tribute to Dr. Dennis Lemanski who, through his career in service to the Downriver Communities, embodied a tireless and compassionate dedication to not just patients, but also to leading his physician colleagues. This award recognizes a physician who is always demonstrating that our first obligation is one of duty and to each other, to our patients and to our hospital and health of the system. Someone who is consistently pushing the “status quo” in an effort to develop new ideas to solve old problems while serving as a leader and teacher for the doctors of tomorrow. This individual strives to ensure that a commitment to serving others extends outside the walls of the institution and really strives to lead a life of service in every way. The 2024 winner of the Dr. Dennis Lemanski Award for Exceptional Commitment to Outstanding Service and Innovation is Dr. Mark Pensler, Private Care Physician and Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital.
