In this video, I’m unboxing something you don’t see every day: an OTC hearing aid with no earbuds, no tubes, and no speakers sitting in your ear canal. What you’re looking at is the Mearsun (Miron) bone conduction hearing aid, and the whole point of this design is simple—pure bone conduction. Instead of pushing sound through your eardrum like a traditional hearing aid, it’s trying to bypass the eardrum and send sound straight to your inner ear through vibrations. A lot of you have probably seen bone conduction headphones (think Shokz), but this is different because it’s being sold and positioned as an actual hearing aid. The big question—and the reason I’m excited about this one—is: does it actually work as a hearing aid in the real world?
