Prescription hearing aids are locked down, and if you’ve ever tried to connect Rx hearing aids to a PC, you already know the deal: you can’t stream unless you buy a brand-locked $250–$300 accessory. And the worst part is those boxes only work for one brand, so when you upgrade or switch manufacturers, you’re right back to buying another expensive streamer. In this video, I show you a real workaround that’s finally affordable and not trapped in one ecosystem. I tested the FlooGoo (yeah, silly name) FMA120 Auracast / Bluetooth LE Audio transmitter—about $45—and walked you step-by-step through getting PC audio streaming directly to Auracast-capable prescription hearing aids. I cover which hearing aids and firmware versions are required, how to update firmware (either through fitting software or the app depending on brand), and how to install/configure the Flucast software so the dongle actually behaves. Then I pair three different brands (Jabra Enhanced Pro 20, Philips HearLink 9050, and Rexton Reach) to prove it works across manufacturers. I also show how to set the FMA120 as your Windows sound output, and even how to use your hearing aids as a headset for Zoom/Teams (speaker + mic). If something glitches, I give you the simple fixes: power-cycle the aids, unplug/replug the dongle, and make sure phone Bluetooth is off during initial pairing.
