About This Video

In this video I show you a super simple, budget-friendly way to stream TV (or any audio source) directly to Auracast-compatible hearing aids using the HomeSpot BA210 v2 transmitter—about 50 bucks on Amazon. The big win here is you’re not locked into those expensive, brand-specific TV streamers (Jabra, Phonak, Signia, etc.) that cost $200–$300 and only work with one brand. With Auracast, you plug this transmitter into your TV (RCA, 3.5mm, or optical/Toslink) and you’re broadcasting audio wirelessly using Bluetooth LE. I walk through what’s in the box, which cable to use (optical is best), and the two lights you actually care about: solid blue for Auracast broadcast and solid green for a good audio signal. I also show how I connect using the Jabra/Beltone/ReSound app’s Auracast Assistant (and what to do if it doesn’t show up—update firmware/app, then reboot your phone). I tested it with my bright red ReSound Vivia 9 (same family as Jabra Enhanced Pro 30 / Beltone Envision) and the sound quality was crystal clear with no lip-sync delay and excellent range. I’m also looking for a church in northeastern PA to test and record a real-world setup so congregations can hear the sermon right through their hearing aids.
